Morris, a.k.a Mr. Mellow and Morris
Midas (because he’s golden and greedy), is an orange tiger with a
thick, handsome striped tail and a fine disposition. He was
probably born in 1997 or 1998, and is neutered. Like his sister
Tiny, Morris tested positive for FeLV (feline leukemia) – probably
an explanation for his previous history of upper respiratory
infections, which have cleared up as of the spring of 2006. Morris
loves attention, from people and from other cats. A former stray, he
lost his first foster home when his owners had to move and could not
find housing that welcomed pets. His sister Tiny (her photo is
elsewhere on this web site) is in the same situation.
Morris will be placed as an indoor cat only, and an application is
required. Because he is FeLV-positive, he needs a home with other
FeLV-positives, and potential adopters will need a strong
recommendation from their veterinarian. To get an application form
or for more information, please call Jo at Advocat, 207-293-4084, or
e-mail foster-mother Mary at
